BRIEF: Board approves Special Ed Service Delivery Plan

SLE | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- Rich Schulte, Lincoln Elementary Principal, presented a Special Education Service Delivery Plan to the Pella Community School Board on Monday evening. The plan outlines how the district handles staffing verifications in case loads. Schulte hopes the plan will meet and go beyond the State of Iowa and AEA set guidelines. The board approved the plan as submitted.

In other business the board approved bids for bread (Sara Lee) and milk (A&E) for the upcoming school year. Jon Miller was re-appointed as the Board's secretary and treasurer. Ahler's Law Firm was approved the district's legal counsel and The Pella Chronicle was approved as the official publication for the school system.

Dave Beukelman was appointed as the district's Level II Investigator. A total of four payments were made for construction issues: Brackin Land Improvement ($57,950), Woodman Controls ($12,081.15), Two Rivers Group ($207.044.90) and Jensen Buildings, Ltd. ($206,502.40).
