China Eastern Airlines, one of the three biggest airways in China, ranked first nationwide in terms of the number of flights operated on time from January to June.
Moreover, the airway enhanced the control of internal management, and made breakthroughs in the reform and regroup. In May, it signed a framework agreement with the government of Yunnan Province, southwest China, upon their strategic cooperation. In June, much progress was made in the integration of China Eastern Airlines of Shanghai Airlines Co., Ltd. (SAL and SHSE: 600591), and the business cooperation firstly started.
China Eastern Air General Manager Liu Shaoyong disclosed that in case of no new special factors, China Eastern Airlines could cut back its loss sharply as scheduled.
