As the mascot races get on their way, patrons will have the opportunity to raise money through pledges supporting their favourite characters. Those who place their votes will get the opportunity to win a variety of prizes which include a round trip to Las Vegas, a River Rock Casino Resort package and many more. There is no admission charge to come and experience this wonderful event and regular thoroughbred racing will add to the excitement throughout the afternoon.
This fantastic event will have something for all the members of the family, from inflatable bouncy castles to pony rides and most interesting of all a Mascot Village. The Mascot Village will enable families to meet their favourite mascots and receive great coupons from their companies as well as get a FREE professional picture taken with a variety of mascots (donation to Variety suggested).
"I am thrilled that Hastings Racecourse and Variety have collaborated on this event and our vision is that this event will grown bigger and bigger each year," said Howard Blank, Vice President, Media and Entertainment at the Great Canadian Gaming Corporation. "Our goal is to one day hopefully secure a spot in the Guinness Book of Records for having the most mascots in one place at one time."
