The company said that the move from the UK to Gibralter of William Hill Online, an internet-based betting and gaming business which was created in December 2008 by combining the Group's interactive business and acquired Playtech Limited's assets, is part of an integration process.
Gibraltar is reportedly an online betting and gaming centre for companies, with access to skilled employees, an established regulatory environment and a competitive tax regime.
The Group continues its presence in the UK and Ireland with 2,300 licensed betting offices and around 16,000 employees, having paid around GBP300m in UK taxes and levies in 2008.
