The order was placed by Roaring 40s Renewable Energy Pty Ltd -- a joint venture of energy majors China Light & Power (CLP) Group (HKG: 0002) and Hydro Tasmania.
The contract provides for supply, installation, commissioning of the machinery to the Waterloo Wind Farm, the VestasOnline Business Scada solution, as well as a 10-year service agreement.
Shipment of the turbines is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2009, with site delivery and installation planned for 2010.
Vestas maintained its outlook to close 2009 with a revenue of EUR7.2bn and an EBIT margin of 11-13%.
