Franklin, a producer of electronic handheld information based in Burlington -- it says it's sold about 41,000,000 electronic books -- has the agreement for distribution in the United States, Canada and Australia/New Zealand.
Barry J. Lipsky, chief executive officer and president of Franklin, said in a release that it was a natural fit because of Franklin's line of multilingual translators sold around the globe.
Terms were not disclosed. A Franklin spokeswoman could not be reached for comment.
