Net income stood at 121.9 billion won (US$98.4 million) in the April-June period, compared with 107.1 billion won for the same period last year, Citibank Korea said in an e-mailed statement.
Total revenue was flat at 405.7 billion won for the three months, compared with 405.6 billion won last year.
In a separate statement, SC First Korea Bank said its second-quarter earnings plunged 58.2 per cent to 48 billion won from a year earlier.
Operating income stood at 54.8 billion won in the April-June period, compared with 266.8 billion won three months earlier, according to the lender which is controlled by U.K.-based Standard Chartered Bank.
