According to China Pharma, omeprazole is widely utilized to treat gastroesophageal reflux disease, and is highly effective in other conditions caused by excess acidic formulations in the stomach, including gastric ulcers, recurrent duodenal ulcers and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome.
