Golden State Beverage has formalized a deal with Drinks Americas Holdings to take on the distribution of such high profile brands as award winning Trump Super Premium Vodka, Trump Premium Flavored Vodkas, Willie Nelson's Old Whiskey River Bourbon, Olifant Premium Vodka from Holland and Damiana Liqueur from Mexico.
J. Patrick Kenny, CEO Drinks Americas said, "The addition of a distribution company with full state resources that can be focused on our brands, with the level of management and sales talent that Golden State Beverage has will impact and increase the sales and distribution of our brands in the massive California market. Trump Super Premium Vodka has always done very well in this market and we look to capitalize on its increased availability and promotion in the state to continue to develop the brand in California."
Though Golden State Beverage is a recently-formed company, Drinks Americas' Charles Lynch, Vice President and National Sales Manager and a 32-year industry veteran who has high expectations for the new partnership, stated, "From the supplier's perspective, forming this relationship with Golden State Beverage presented us with a great opportunity to be on the ground floor of a new company with the resources to cover distribution channels for the entire state of California. Golden State offers both the best aspects of a big distribution company and the individualized attention of a boutique distribution company. The attention to detail is going to benefit brands such as Trump Vodka and Old Whiskey River, which already have so much going for them."
Mark Markarian, CEO of Golden State Beverage, meanwhile, hopes the upcoming promotions and campaigns for various Drinks America Brands will not only capture the attention of on- and off-premise accounts but liquor and wine purveyors seeking a more personalized approach to marketing their brands, getting them on shelves and getting them into the hands of consumers.
"Golden State Beverage was born out of our collective observations that even with the big distribution companies, there are better, more targeted ways to help independent brands reach trade and consumer clients," says Markarian. "Our mission is to help worthwhile brands, both new and familiar, make major inroads into the nation's biggest liquor market and consumer place." Markarian adds that Golden State offers multiple warehousing outlets throughout the state, and a roster of brands he feels represents the future of the spirits industry.
