UCB signs license agreement with Novartis for Provas (Diovan), Dafiro HCT, Dafiro, Jalra, and Icandra
NVS | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- UCB S.A. and Novartis AG, a Switzerland-based pharmaceutical company, have entered into a license agreement for cardiovascular and diabetes products in Germany. UCB is a Belgium-based biopharmaceutical company focused on the fields of central nervous system and immunology disorders.
Under the agreement, UCB has extended commercial rights for the German market to the cardiovascular medication Provas(R) (Valsartan) beyond 2011, and has licensed in commercial rights for Dafiro(R) (valsartan and Amlodipine) and Dafiro HCT(R) (Valsartan, Amlodipine and HCT).
In addition, UCB would co-commercialize the two new oral anti-diabetics Jalra(R) and Icandra(R) (Vildagliptin and Vildagliptin + Metformin).
