Under the agreement, of undisclosed financial terms, Nikon will rely on Verizon Business' expertise in investigative service support, including comprehensive data-movement monitoring across 150 global locations, to mitigate any potential security vulnerabilities.
Verizon Business said that it will combine its Private IP, which runs on a fully private MPLS network, with its network devices and operational support services to bring Nikon's network security to a new level.
Nikon will reportedly be able to monitor and manage network traffic, and proactively recognise and respond to network security threats.
Verizon Business is a business unit of Verizon Communications (NYSE: VZ).
