'3 Austria plans to offer 100 Mbps via LTE in 2011'

throughout 3 Austria's whole network, following a statement by Nokia
Siemens Networks as equipment provider. Thoma said that the operator
wants to offer mobile broadband via LTE with maximum download speeds of
more than 100 Mbps by 2011. 3 Austria currently offers HSPA+-based
mobile data service up to 21 Mbps to 94 percent of the Austrian
population, which should be doubled to 42 Mbps by 2010. 3 Austria and
Nokia Siemens Networks provide a live LTE demonstration during the
European Forum in Alpbach, where politicians and opinion leaders meet
during three weeks of seminars, symposia and schooling.
