VS | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- Comcast, a provider of entertainment, information and communications, and the National Football League announced that they plan to offer Comcast customers the "NFL RedZone" channel this season as part of its Sports Entertainment Package (SEP).

With NFL RedZone, our customers get that intense live action experience for all the NFL games on every Sunday afternoon," said Derek Harrar, General Manager and Senior Vice President of Video Services for Comcast. "The addition of NFL RedZone represents yet another major enhancement to our overall sports offering for Comcast customers."
"Fans with Comcast now have the ability to see the important plays from NFL games as they happen on Sunday afternoons with our new NFL RedZone channel," said Kim Williams, Chief Operating Officer for NFL Network. "We are thrilled to announce this deal with Comcast that provides fans with an exciting new channel produced by NFL Network that complements the live broadcasts of NFL games on Sunday afternoons."
The NFL RedZone channel, produced by the NFL Network, will air every Sunday from 1 p.m. EST through late afternoon games providing Comcast SEP customers with live look-ins and real-time highlights for every NFL game that afternoon. Throughout the NFL football season, the channel will move from game to game providing live action each time a team is poised to score inside the 20-yard line. The channel will also have in-studio coverage to provide real-time scoring and fantasy updates to fans.
