Mylan Inc markets first generic version of BenzaClin for acne treatment
VRX | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- Pharmaceutical company Mylan Inc (Nasdaq: MYL | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating) declared on Thursday the
launch of 1% Clindamycin and 5% Benzoyl Peroxide Gel in the market for
acne treatment.
Generic BenzaClin is being marketed under a licensing agreement between
the company's subsidiary, Mylan Pharmaceuticals Inc, and licensing
partner Dow Pharmaceutical Sciences, a subsidiary of Valeant
Pharmaceuticals International.
According to IMS Health, BenzaClin had total US sales of approximately
USD221m for the 12 month period ended 30 June.
