Pomeroy IT Solutions Renewed Contract With Commonwealth Of PA (PMRY)

Aug 29, 2009 (SmarTrend(R) News Watch via COMTEX) -- PMRY | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- 8/29/2009 - Pomeroy IT Solutions (NASDAQ:PMRY) announced that it renewed a multi-year service contract with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to continue providing deskside support services to state agencies for at least another two years. The Commonwealth renewed the service agreement with Pomeroy after conducting a competitive bidding process. The contract is expected to generate $8 million dollars in revenue for Pomeroy. Under the terms of the renewal, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will be able to renew the contract for up to three additional one-year renewal terms. The Commonwealth expects to save about $1.3 million over the next two years through the contract, according to the Pennsylvania Department of General Services. Pomeroy's Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing said, "Pomeroy has had a very successful relationship with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. We believe that the renewal of this important multi-year service contract signifies the Commonwealth's confidence in Pomeroy's ability to consistently perform quality deskside support service throughout Pennsylvania."
