This is the ninth year that Outback has received the honor.
"This is a significant honor for Outback," said Jeff Smith, president. "We have been committed to providing our guests with quality food and service over the past twenty one years, and we appreciate their loyalty to our restaurant."
Now in its 29th year, the Restaurants & Institutions annual awards program recognizes restaurants that are selected through a national survey of 3,000 restaurant customers. Diners were asked to rate nearly 120 chain restaurants on eight guest satisfaction points: food quality, menu variety, service, atmosphere, cleanliness, reputation and convenience. Winners are named in 13 menu categories.
Outback Steakhouse was founded in Tampa, Florida in 1988. There are over 950 Outback Steakhouse restaurants throughout the world.
