In detail, Sharp will sell the equipment of the production line to a Nanjing-based company to be established between the municipal government and Nanjing China Electronics Panda Group Corporation (CEC Panda).
The Japanese company promised to back the joint venture to rebuild the production line locally, which is expected to start construction in mid September this year and commence mass production in 2011 with an overall investment of CNY 13.8 billion.
Besides, Sharp, CEC Panda, and the government are set to cooperate in the building of a local 8G LCD panel factory capable of putting out 90,000 pieces a month, involving an investment of CNY 30 billion. Next spring, the Japanese company is predicted to complete its global LCD R&D center here.
