In addition to the U.S. Navy, a number of allied navies, including the Japanese Navy, are incorporating Aegis BMD capability into their defensive arsenals. Under this Task Order Award, the Rocket Support Services Business Unit of Kratos, through its contract with NSWC PHD Det WS, will provide sub-orbital rocket & target hardware and launch support for the fourth of an ongoing series of Aegis BMD test missions conducted jointly with the Japanese Navy, dubbed JFTM-4. This test is expected to be conducted in fall of 2010. In addition to this recent award, representatives from Kratos RSS will be participating in related efforts for JFTM-3 scheduled for fall of 2009.
