3D Systems has said that it plans to continue to develop Desktop Factory's technology within its previously announced annual R&D expenditure range and integrate Desktop Factory's technology into its family of desktop and professional 3-D printers.
Abe Reichental, president and CEO of 3D Systems, said: "We believe the technology already developed by Desktop Factory in combination with our extensive technology portfolio could lead to a new generation of fast, simple and affordable 3-D printers capable of making durable plastic part."
