"For the past 21 years, I have been fortunate and blessed to be CEO of this Company and the Bank, and to work alongside an amazing and talented team of bankers and a strong Board of Directors," Puckett, 53, said in a news release.
The Greeneville, Tenn.-based bank lost $151.4 million, or $11.58 a diluted share, in the second quarter. The company had profits of more than $1.4 million in the same period last year.
The company blamed a goodwill impairment charge of $137.4 million for most of the loss.
Greenbank has three offices in Knox County and one in Blount County.
