ViewPoint Bank Appoints State Rep. Brian McCall to Board of Directors
ViewPoint Financial Group (Nasdaq: VPFG | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating) announced today that long-time Texas State Representative Brian McCall has joined Plano-based ViewPoint Bank's board of directors.
Currently representing the Plano district, Rep. McCall was elected to the Texas House of Representatives in 1991. He has also represented the areas of North Dallas, Frisco and Allen.

"A Collin County native, he brings with him many years of commitment and service to our North Texas communities. Named the 2007 Citizen of the Year by the Plano Chamber of Commerce, Rep. McCall was also called one of the "10 best legislators" for the 2009 legislative session by Texas Monthly magazine. His areas of legislative accomplishment include healthcare, biotechnology, identity theft, and tax and budget policy.
A long-time civic and community volunteer, Rep. McCall is also the founder and chairman of The Empowerment Project, a nonprofit that raises money for children's health issues in North Texas. The Project has given more than $250,000 to places like Children's Medical Clinic and Children's Medical Center of Plano.
Rep. McCall holds a Bachelors degree from Baylor University, a Masters degree from Southern Methodist University and a PhD from the University of Texas at Dallas.
