"At Resource Residential, we place a large emphasis on delivering exemplary services to all residents of the communities that we manage," said Joel Anderson, Director of IT at Resource Residential. "As yet another service for our residents, we decided to offer free Wi-Fi to all residents and their guests in the common areas of all of our properties -- both indoor and outdoor -- and Proxim has enabled us to accomplish this with a balance between cost-effectiveness and high performance that we could not find elsewhere."
Once Resource Residential decided to provide free Wi-Fi throughout the common areas of all of their communities, which span 24 cities in 14 states throughout the country, they turned to Computer Solutions (CSI) to recommend the best products for the network. CSI determined that Proxim's ORiNOCO AP-4000MR/LR and AP-4000M access points enabled them to deliver a Wi-Fi network with greater performance.
"When we looked at this project, we immediately knew that Proxim's solutions were the best fit," said Jack Hoffman, Owner of Computer Solutions. "Each location required both indoor and outdoor Wi-Fi coverage, and Proxim has unparalleled expertise in both. In addition, Proxim is able to provide a much better price/performance ratio than competing solutions, which helps Resource Residential continue to offer the service for free."
CSI worked with EduTech Systems, a network integrator and installer, to design and deploy the Wi-Fi networks throughout each location. Together, CSI and EduTech have deployed the Wi-Fi networks in all 50 locations, and EduTech provides ongoing technical support.
