Under the agreement, the two groups would form a new equally-owned limited liability company which will split a variety of duties. Stephens Media will be responsible for editorial control of four local newspapers, The Morning News of Springdale, The Morning News of Rogers, Benton County Daily Record and the Northwest Arkansas Times in Northwest Arkansas, while Democrat will control advertising, business, production and circulation functions of the new company and will be in charge of the editorial functions of the Northwest Arkansas edition of the Democrat-Gazette.
