SAHIF | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- The Boeing Company (NYSE: BA | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating) is talking with some Chinese air carriers about the postponement of Boeing 787 Dreamliner delivery, said Robert Laird, the aircraft maker's vice president for sales in China and East Asia.

By far, five Chinese airways have ordered 59 Boeing 787 jet liners, including Air China Ltd. (SHSE: 601111), China Eastern Airlines Corp. Ltd. (SEHK: 0670), China Southern Airlines Ltd. (SHSE: 600029), Shanghai Airlines Co., Ltd. (SHSE: 600591), and Hainan Airlines Co., Ltd. (SHSE: 600221), according to Mr. Laird.

The first Boeing 787 for China is expected to reach the buyer in 2011 finally, he said, hoping that such an aircraft would be debuted at the 8th China International Aviation & Aerospace Exhibition held in Zhuhai City next November.

In addition, the vice president estimated China to replace the US as Boeing's biggest customer in ten years, and another executive of the company believed that China and the Asia Pacific region would lead the world in an aviation recovery.
