Guangqi Hino (Shenyang) Motors is consolidated from Shenfei Hino Automobile Manufacturing Co., Ltd., a joint stock bus factory between Hino and the Chinese aircraft manufacturer AVIC Shenyang Aircraft Industry (Group) Corporation Ltd. Not long ago, Guangzhou Automobile Group Co., Ltd. (GAC) took over the state-owned stake in the joint venture, which is said to reenroll with a capital of CNY 1.004 billion.
Covering floor areas and construction areas of 330,000 square meters and 70,000 square meters, respectively, Guangqi Hino Shenyang plans to enlarge its annual production capacity to 4,000 buses and 5,000 chassis from 2,000 buses and 2,500 chassis.
In addition, the production base's direct controller Guangqi Hino Motors Co., Ltd. was established by Guangzhou Automobile Group and Hino in December 2007, with an investment of CNY 3.1 billion.
