Meanwhile, Philip Comberg will conclude its job as independent dire ctor of the solar module maker since December 2007.
Peter Xie, president of Solarfun, said that the company would build five to six 100-MW solar power plants in Northwest China's dessert ar ea.
Xie said that Solarfun would focus on downstream operations with an eye to build solar power plants in other countries.
Solarfun plans to expand its production capacity of solar modules t o 700 MW from current 550 MW and take 5-6 percent shares worldwide in this regard.
