Learn.com and Taleo Join Forces to Support Comprehensive Employee Development

SUNRISE, Fla., Sept 16, 2009 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- TLEO | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- Learn.com(R), today announced it has been selected by Taleo (Nasdaq: TLEO), the leading provider of on-demand talent management solutions, as its premier learning management system (LMS) partner. This alliance will integrate with Taleo Development, a new development planning application which is part of the Taleo 10(TM) talent management solution, also announced today.

Taleo Development(TM) allows employees and their managers to build development plans that are linked with their goals, performance reviews and career plans. This connection ensures that these development plans are well thought out and frequently revisited. It also improves the connection between development plans, management expectations and the employee's career objectives.

Taleo Development includes employee development plans for building competencies and "social learning" fostered by peer-based learning activities such as coaching, mentoring, and experiential learning. Additionally, through its partnership with Learn.com, Taleo will also offer customers actionable, competency-based formal learning activities.

Taleo and Learn.com will tightly integrate Taleo Development with the LearnCenter LMS. This integration will allow Taleo Development to link directly to training courses managed by Learn.com. Communication will be two-way so that learning assessment scores can be uploaded to Taleo Development, allowing management to evaluate the employee's proficiency against each development activity.

By linking actionable development activities from the LearnCenter LMS to individual development plans, Taleo customers will be able to:

    --  Boost employee engagement and retention by showing employees a clear
        career development plan and what it will take to achieve the plan
    --  Improve their development plans, which will, in turn increase employee
        productivity

    --  Enable real-time talent development by dynamically aligning employee
        development plans with changing goals and business strategies.

As part of this partnership, Taleo and Learn.com will jointly market end-to-end talent management solutions to customers and prospects. Together, they will offer a single source for a tightly integrated talent management solution.
