In particular the use of Ceridian's Time and Attendance application will replace an existing manual, paper-based process, which will save time, decrease costs and ultimately increase revenue, the Company noted in a release.
"From a financial leadership perspective there are three things we are able to do," explains Ray House, director of finance for Interface Security Systems. "Increase revenues, reduce costs and mitigate risks. If we can do any one of them it's a good start. If we can do all three it's a home run. We fully expect Ceridian's solutions will help us do all three."
Interface Security Systems is a security, life safety and managed IP services company. It produces security technologies for use in homes and businesses throughout the U.S. The company has approximately 600 employees. Interface headquarters are in St. Louis, and it has 20 additional locations in 12 states.
"Ceridian's automated timekeeping solution, integrated with its HR management and payroll, will enable us to better track our employees' time," explains House. "We expect to have a stricter, more accurate accounting of employee activities. And we will be replacing a manual, paper-based system with an automated solution. Taken as a whole Ceridian's solutions will enable us to increase revenue, by both having a more accurate, timely accounting of employee time, and by being able to invoice for it within 24 hours or less of the service being provided. At the same time, the automation and Ceridian's compliance expertise will help us mitigate risk."
Finally, Ceridian's HR module will enable Interface to better manage its workforce. With increased information about its people and their work habits Interface will be able to determine who requires coaching and who deserves praise. "With Ceridian's HR solution we will have the ability to report on and improve the overall capabilities of our workforce," notes House.
Ray House and Interface ultimately chose Ceridian because its solutions were solid, well integrated and delivered at a reasonable cost. "We did our due diligence," House explains. "We had our technology experts examine the software and we contacted several Ceridian clients. Our experts liked the solutions. And we heard good things about Ceridian's customer service." In the end, Ray House concludes, the decision to move forward with Ceridian's solutions was an easy one to make.
