Cavan Ventures Inc. Decides Not to Pursue Investor Relations Agreement With MarketSmart Communications Inc.

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA, Sep 17, 2009 (MARKETWIRE via COMTEX) -- CVN | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- On August 4th, 2009 Cavan Ventures Inc. (the "Company") (TSX VENTURE: CVN | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating) announced that it entered into an investor relations agreement with MarketSmart Communications Inc. ("MarketSmart") for a period of six months. Services of MarketSmart would have included initiating an investor awareness program that will introduce the Company to MarketSmart's network of brokers, private investors, portfolio managers and media contacts, providing shareholder and investor communication services, handling the Company's public and media relations, and any other services as agreed upon by the Company and MarketSmart. This agreement would have commenced on approval by the TSX Venture Exchange.

Unfortunately, the Company wishes to announce the parties were unable to move forward with their arrangement, and as a result, the Company will no longer be pursuing its investor relations agreement with MarketSmart.

The Company remains committed to its goal of building a strong portfolio of mineral properties with excellent potential for production, and it will continue to pursue strategic alliances in China and North and South America.
