The change in trading symbol was required due to an OTC Bulletin Board requirement related to the reverse stock split followed by an immediate forward stock split, which was approved by the Company's shareholders at the Annual Shareholders' Meeting held on July 28, 2009.
Reverse Stock Split
As a result of the reverse stock split, shareholders owning less than 25 shares of New Horizons Worldwide, Inc. stock immediately preceding the reverse stock split are entitled to receive cash compensation of $1.85 per pre-reverse split share. Record Shareholders can redeem their shares by completing a Letter of Transmittal, which was mailed September 16, 2009 by the Company's transfer agent, StockTrans, Inc. Additional copies of the Letter of Transmittal can be obtained from StockTrans by calling 1-610-649-7300 or on the Company's website www.newhorizons.com. Shareholders who hold their shares with a broker in "street name" should contact their broker to receive the cash consideration.
