RUGGF | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- RuggedCom, Inc., a Canada-based designer and manufacturer of ruggedized communications equipment, has acquired WiNetworks, Inc., a US-based provider of WiMAX systems.
Under the terms of the agreement, RuggedCom would pay approximately $9 million in cash, plus assume WiNetworks' debt of approximately $5 million as a consideration.
Earlier, WiNetworks had raised venture funding from Rho Capital Partners, Inc., Columbia Capital, Evergreen Venture Partners, and Cedar Fund.
