Liu Jiangbo, spokesman with the joint restructuring lead group of China Eastern and Shanghai Airlines disclosed that the two airlines' management on Tuesday discussed the restructuring plan with employee representatives and answered related questions.
The restructuring plan received strong voter approval, according to Liu.
Along with China Eastern and Shanghai Airlines advance procedural work for the restructuring, the two airlines have meanwhile begun cooperation in aviation resources in Shanghai.
On September 11 the two companies' management listened to a report by GCW Consulting on the construction of Shanghai's aviation hub port. The two parties noted that a communication system will be built for their top ranking leaders and a special group will meanwhile be set up to make assessment for the construction scheme.
