NWPA, a subcontractor on the project, will deliver approximately 30,000 tons of structural piling. The pipe is being produced from a new facility located on the island of Batam, Indonesia. The delivery of the pipes has begun and NWPA will complete production by the end of the second quarter of 2010.
The company installed a newly completed Spiral Weld Pipe Mill into this new Batam facility, which is located on the property of DSAW, an Indonesian company, which is also producing structural piling for Samsung.
Northwest Pipe Company also declared the cancellation of the project for casings for the USEC American Centrifuge project.
