In this role, Mr Foresman will head Barclays's investment banking and investment management businesses in Russia, as well as represent and coordinate the activities of the Barclays Group in the country.
He will be based in Moscow, and report to Benoit de Vitry, head of global markets-trading for Europe and head of commodities and emerging markets at Barclays Capital.
Mr Foresman joins the firm from Renaissance Capital, where he was deputy chairman. Prior to this, he was chairman of the management committee for Russia and Commonwealth of Independent States for Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein and head of investment banking for Russia for ING Barings.
