Sunz selects Innovation's workers' compensation policy and claims solution

Sep 23, 2009 (Datamonitor via COMTEX) -- IOVTF | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- US-based Sunz Insurance Company has selected UK-based Innovation Group's Innovation Works workers' compensation policy administration and claim management platform. Implementation began in August 2009.

According to Innovation Group, Innovation Works is a web-based policy administration and claims management solution that addresses the needs of the workers' compensation industry with extendibility into additional commercial insurance product lines. Core functionality is built around 'point-and-click' format.

The platform enables complete automation and management of the entire insurance business lifecycle, from new business/renewals, client management, compliance, billing, claims, and accounting.

Glen Distefano, vice president and COO of Sunz, said: "We looked at several solutions and it was clearly evident that Innovation Works complements Sunz's commitment to technology and was built by policy and claims professionals who truly understand workers' compensation and set out to build a robust and thoughtful solution. The added benefit of a system that will allow Sunz to integrate claims data from our claims administrator will only allow us to further enhance our ability to manage and analyze our entire portfolio."
