Time Warner Cable launches new broadband Internet service in New York City

Time Warner Cable Wideband Internet and Business Class Wideband
Internet in New York City.
According to the company, Time Warner Cable Wideband Internet, a
service for residential customers, offers download speeds of 50Mb/s and
upload speeds of 5Mb/s for USD99.95 per month. Customers can also
connect up to five devices simultaneously.
Business Class Wideband Internet customers can subscribe to two new
Internet offerings: up to 50Mb/s downstream and 5Mb/s upstream, or up
to 20Mb/s downstream and 2Mb/s upstream. Business Class customers
receive 24/7 support and 5 static IP addresses.
Business Class Wideband Internet is subject to class terms and bundle
discounts. No other pricing details for the product were revealed.
The new service is available beginning on Thursday in Manhattan (below
79th Street), Staten Island and Queens. It will be available throughout
the company's entire NYC service area by spring 2010.
