"We're working on it," he said of getting the water running and clean again after heavy rains flooded the town early this week.
"But we'll still have a boil advisory," Mr. Winters said. "The city has sent (treated water) samples off to the state, and they should be back in a few days."
Water regulators said it sometimes can take a while to flush contaminated water through a city's treatment and distribution system after flooding breaks water mains or wastewater spills in to a treatment system.
