The robber struck about 9:45 a.m. Thursday at the FirstMerit branch at 727 N. Main St.
The man entered the bank, pointed his gun at a teller and demanded cash.
On Wednesday night, police say, the same man robbed the Church's Chicken at 1211 S. Main St. A half-hour later, he robbed the Circle K gas station at 1178 S. Arlington St.
The same man is suspected in robberies this week at the Kentucky Fried Chicken on South Main Street, the Church's Chicken on North Main Street and the Advanced Auto Parts on Vernon Odom Boulevard.
There have been no reports of injuries in any of the robberies.
Police say the suspect is a black male, 30 to 40 years old, standing nearly 6-feet tall and weighing about 300 pounds.
