Sandoz said that it will combine EBEWE Pharma's portfolio and pipeline of injectables with its own expertise in biopharmaceuticals, anti-infectives and other technologies. According to Sandoz CEO Jeff George this will enhance the range of generic anti-cancer medicines the company offers.
As part of the integration of the two firms a new global business unit and centre of excellence in generic oncology injectables is being created, based in Unterach, Austria and led by former EBEWE Pharma CEO Friedrich Hillebrand, who will join the Sandoz Executive Committee.
