Travel Channel Taps Ringleader Digital Mobile Advertising

Sep 25, 2009 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- TVCH | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- Ringleader Digital (RLD), a mobile ad serving solution provider, announced that the Travel Channel has selected its mobile advertising technologies to expand their reach across the mobile Web at m.travelchannel.com.

In an increasingly mobile landscape, Ringleader Digital is providing the technology for the Travel Channel to reach travel-minded consumers via their mobile devices.

The Travel Channel has begun by using Ringleader Digital's RLD Spark Server platform to implement banner advertisements on targeted mobile Web sites and Dynamic Yield Optimization to optimize fill rates. RLD said that its Spark Server is a carrier-grade, highly scalable third-party mobile and new media ad server that integrates seamlessly with existing ad platforms. The technology will provide Travel Channel with targeting, tracking and reporting capabilities similar to online. The network plans to expand upon the use of Ringleader's suite of technologies to include RLD Media Stamp, a persistent device identification technology. By partnering with Ringleader Digital, Travel Channel has the ability to refocus its internal sales team allowing them to use any third-party ad sales force, thereby fostering new sources of advertising.

"The mobile Web is the perfect place to target today's traveling consumers," said Chris Ackermann, director of business development at Travel Channel. "Not only that, but Ringleader Digital's easy to implement mobile advertising platform will provide our ad sales team with a tremendous amount of flexibility while driving increased exposure for the Travel Channel."

The Travel Channel will kick off their new mobile initiative by increasing visibility and banner advertisements on mobile sites, but will expand its advertising presence to include even more mobile Web sites and iPhone applications.
