The Ninghai Power Plant is located in Ninghai county in Ningbo, in southeast China's Zhejiang province, and has a total installed capacity of 3,400 megawatts. China Shenhua Energy holds 60 per cent of the equity of the plant.
The plant also has another 1,000-megawatt generating unit under construction, which is expected to go into operation before the end of the year.
Electricity produced by the Ninghai Power Plant is fed onto the East China Power Grid.
