The military will pay $52.8 million for the vehicles, which are designed to clear land mines and explosives from roads.
The work will be performed in Ladson and is expected to be completed by September 2010.
The Buffalo vehicles are characterized by a large arm with a claw on the end that is used to scoop explosives from the ground.
