NOTICE TEXT: Department of Veterans Affairs VA Great Lakes Healthcare System Department of Veterans Affairs Great Lakes Healthcare System Under Statutory Authority 41 USC 253 (c )(1) the Government anticipates entering into sole source acquisition negotiations for placement and services of eligible veterans into five nursing home facility located at: Good Samaritan Society-Lodi, 700 Clark Street, Lodi, WI 53555, Woods Crossing at Woods Point, E401 23rd Street PO Box 34, Brodhead, WI 53520, Claridge Healthcare Center, 700 Jenkisson Ave, Lake Bluff, IL 60044,Heritage Manor-Mendota, 1201 First Ave., Mendota, IL 61342,Crestmark of Roselawn, 10352 N 600 E, Demotte, IN, 46310, and Central Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, 2450 North Central Ave., Chicago, IL 60639.. This acquisition is for VA Hospitals/Medical Centers in VISN 12. Basic Ordering Agreements will be set up for a base year with 4 one-year options. The above authority is cited and justification made based on the determination that the Government's minimum needs can best be satisfied by services available from one source in a specific area of responsibility. This action is for services which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under FAR 6.302-1. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of the notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive acquisition.
