The order is for a 126MW gas turbine generator set based cogeneration plant, booster compressor and heat recovery boiler, with auxiliaries and automatic process control system.
The gas turbine generator set with dedicated auxiliaries, compressors, heat recovery boiler, boiler auxiliaries and automatic process control system for the project will be supplied from Bharat Heavy Electricals's (BHEL) manufacturing units at Hyderabad, Tiruchirapally, Ranipet and Bangalore, respectively.
The CIS region has been identified by BHEL as one of the potential regions for enhancing its overseas business. Aimed at establishing a long-term presence in CIS countries, BHEL is setting up a marketing office in Kazakhstan which will be operational in Almaty shortly.
The company has also signed a memorandum of understanding with TGR, based in Hungary, for exploring opportunities for conventional boilers, and repair and maintenance of boilers in European and CIS countries.
