The U.S. Army's Orlando-based training contract agency awarded the deals to Cubic through the government's foreign military sales initiative for U.S. allies.
San Diego-based Cubic employs nearly 200 at its Simulation Systems Division in Orlando.
Its latest contracts involve Cubic Simulation's largest program -- the EST 2000 Engagement Skills Trainer -- a virtual firing-range simulator that has been part of the Army's training arsenal since the 1990s. It is used for marksmanship training for soldiers deployed in Iraq, Afghanistan and other war zones.
Through digital video projectors, high-definition screens, game-based computer graphics and simulated weapons, the EST 2000 is designed to create realistic combat scenarios for infantry training.
Lebanon has purchased five of the systems for its conventional Army troops and Special Operations Forces, according to Cubic, which will also provide logistics and technical support.
Four additional systems will be delivered to the Kyrgyz Republic. Cubic will install the systems in existing facilities on military bases in the country.
