The Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps and federal civilian agencies can order units under this contract, said ZOLL.
An upfront payment of USD3.9m from the Department of Defense to procure parts to build units for inventory requirements initially, will be included in deferred revenue, while further revenue will be recognised depending on future orders, added the company.
ZOLL received a similar contract award in 2004 with four one-year extension options, all exercised and the new agreement for a one-year period at first also contains four one-year extension options.
The contract for the advanced life support, critical care transport defibrillator and monitor Airworthy CCT, ends on 27 September 2010, subject to contract extension.
