Under the deal, SAIC will help NSWC Crane improve the mobility, reliability, and safety of weaponized vehicles. It will provide engineering, design, fabrication, and technical support for the WTV Support Shelter, VADS and other Marine Corps Systems Command and test measurement and diagnostic equipment program initiatives.
The deal that was awarded under the US Navy's SeaPort-e contract vehicle will be undertaken primarily at NSWC Crane and at SAIC locations throughout Indiana.
Tom Baybrook, senior vice president and business unit manager at SAIC said: "SAIC is pleased to continue supporting NSWC Crane's VADS and WTV efforts, which enable our Marines to efficiently maneuver by providing improved system safety, reliability, and sustainability."
Earlier this month, SAIC won a four-year-eleven-and-half-month $29m contract from the Naval Air Systems Command to provide technical support services to 205 integrated product teams (IPTs). It also won a five-year $26m follow-on contract from the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division to provide engineering, technical, and management services.
