According to the company, the order includes Comtech EF Data's SLM-5650A satellite modems and redundancy switches. The SLM-5650A satellite modem features performance and bandwidth savings technologies, including advanced forward error correction and modulation capabilities, DoubleTalk Carrier-in-Carrier bandwidth compression, and integration with Comtech's fully automated network and capacity management, Vipersat Management System.
Fred Kornberg, president and CEO of Comtech Telecommunications, said: "This order is another example of Comtech's ability to support the critical communications requirements of the US government."
