Transpera names new president and COO

Oct 02, 2009 (Datamonitor via COMTEX) -- FDMR | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- Transpera, a mobile video delivery and ad network company, has appointed Jason Weisberger to the newly created position of president and COO.

Mr Weisberger joins Transpera from Federated Media, where he was COO. He has more than 15 years of leadership in technology environments from early-stage venture-backed start-ups to multinational telecommunications giants. Prior to his recent service at Federated Media, he held leadership positions at Cable & Wireless, Digital Island and SoftAware Networks.

Mr Weisberger will be responsible for day-to-day operating activities, including management and performance of Transpera, financial goal management and growth of products and services.

Frank Barbieri, chairman, founder and CEO of Transpera, said: "As our business and revenue really start to scale, Jason's successful track record is a huge asset for our company. We're honored that he's taking an active role in shaping Transpera's future and our team looks forward to his leadership."
