EFD Brings 3D CAD Service to Website

Oct 03, 2009 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- NDSN | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- EFD, Inc., a subsidiary of Nordson Corp. said it has added a new feature to their website that allows visitors to download 3D CAD (Computer Aided Design) models of EFD products.

The new capability, the company noted, will enable customers and prospects to easily and accurately spec-in EFD products when configuring manual work stations or automated assembly machines.

According to a release, customers and prospects are free to select from 28 different file types to find the one that best suits their needs. Options include AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, Pro/ENGINEER, Solid Edge, CATIA, SolidWorks, Unigraphics and other leading formats.

The ability to download 3D models is the latest addition to EFD's customer-focused website, which is available in Chinese, Czech, French, German, Hungarian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish and Turkish as well as English.

EFD, Inc. is a subsidiary of Nordson Corp. EFD designs and manufactures precision dispensing devices for applying controlled amounts of the adhesives, sealants, lubricants and other assembly fluids used in almost every manufacturing process.

Nordson Corp. is a producer of precision dispensing equipment that applies adhesives, sealants and coatings to a broad range of consumer and industrial products during manufacturing operations.
